After slightly opening the bypass line from the primary outlet to the primary inlet of the press, the temperature and pressure at the primary outlet will decrease, but the temperature at the secondary outlet will increase. What is the reason for this increase in the secondary outlet temperature? What are the reasons for the increase in compression ratio?
This phenomenon is normal. When the primary return valve is opened wider, the pressure at the primary outlet decreases; this also leads to a decrease in the pressure at the secondary inlet. As a result, the secondary stage has to work more, the compression ratio increases, and the exhaust temperature at the secondary stage will surely rise.
