Since the compressor driven by the turbine needs to be shut down for maintenance, the coupling between the turbine and the compressor has been disconnected, as have all the lubrication pipelines and the air supply lines. Under these conditions, the turbine will remain shut down for an extended period of time (around 6 months). How should the turbine be maintained during this time? How often should it be turned manually (as interlocks prevent automatic rotation)? What are the requirements for manual rotation? ? ?
