Six or seven barrels isn’t considered much; for large units, it’s normal to use thirty or forty barrels. Ordinary plate-and-frame oil filters work very well – when the filter paper gets dirty, it can simply be discarded. If the viscosity of the lubricating oil is high, it can be heated with steam.
