The GEA screw compressor was assembled within one and a half days; the adjustment of the exhaust clearance and bearing play took some time. Repeated adjustments were made while the rotor was not yet inside the chamber, and rework was carried out if the settings were not appropriate once the rotor was inserted into the chamber. Since the compressor has not undergone major maintenance for 10 years, some of the clearances within the original manufacturer’s specified range can no longer ensure its proper operation; it is necessary to conduct repeated tests based on its expansion and rotation patterns until the clearances are adjusted to the optimal level. The compressor has been sent to the production workshop. During the shutdown period, the major repair of the compressor was completed swiftly; tonight we will go straight to adjust the GEA refrigeration unit to ensure that the chemical plant can resume normal operations tomorrow afternoon! Hard work, engineers!
It seems that after fixing the compressor, the customer still needs to have their vehicle repainted – what thoughtful service! :lol
Our factory has 3 gas screw compressors, manufactured by the 711 Research Institute. There are two units with a capacity of 20 m3/min and one unit with a capacity of 40 m3/min. :lol
