Our factory has three LSLG25ZF screw refrigeration units. This year, there have been frequent failures in the rear bearings of these motors: on one occasion there was abnormal noise (it was found that the bearing cage was worn); on another occasion the temperature was high (the bearing balls were worn); and in yet another case, there was excessive vibration (the bearing cage was loose). Why do problems always occur first in the rear bearings? Apart from the quality of the bearings, could an alignment error of 0.25 mm between the couplings be the main cause? Are there any other reasons?
Isn’t 0.25mm up and down a bit too much? What is the requirement specified in the instructions?
The typical alignment error is ≯0.05mm, I think~

There have been two bearing cage failures; please measure to see if the axial vibration is high. Also, check in accordance with the technical specifications whether the runout of each end face of the coupling is within acceptable limits – it’s possible that the problem is caused by a fault in the coupling.
Is it because the magnetic center of the motor has not been positioned correctly? If it is air-cooled, is there a problem with the dynamic balance of the fan at the rear? The concentricity should generally be adjusted to within 0.1. The above are my personal opinions; please forgive any mistakes.
