Are the numerous drill drivers with batteries considered explosion-proof tools?
How to control it? During our inspection by the safety supervision department, we found that a bracket in the workshop was secured using wedge screws. They asked us to show a fire permit; however, since a cordless drill is considered an explosion-proof tool, no fire permit is required.
Even using a brushless drill is considered illegal work, as you are performing drilling operations that can create hot spots. Here’s some advice for you: buy a manual drill, and explain to the safety supervision department that you are using it for drilling. Since the rotation speed of a manual drill is low, no hot spots will be generated.
Common ones are not explosion-proof; check whether there is an Ex mark on them and what the explosion-proof rating is
