The tubular drive end has two temperature measurement points for the tilting bearing pads; one shows a higher temperature while the other shows a lower temperature, with a difference of up to 35°C. What could be the reason for this?

Usually, there is only one measurement point for a bearing; what you might see are two measurement points for two bearings located in a single, combined bearing housing. One is a supporting bearing, and the other is a thrust bearing. For reference.

The shaft does not rotate right in the center of the bearing, which ultimately results in the lower bearing having a higher temperature than the upper bearing, with the temperature on the side of the lower bearing being higher than that on the other side. The gap voltage data from the instruments was normal, and the feedback indicated the true values. At this time, it is recommended to check the alignment of the unit, that is, the alignment between the rotor and the front bearing housing. If the thrust disc is slightly tilted, it will result in a smaller thrust clearance on one side and a larger thrust clearance on the other side. In this way, if the oil film thickness of the two tiles is not consistent, it will lead to temperature differences.
