Happy National Day! ! ! ----------------------------------------- At the end of 2021, Klon Group Company received a request from a petrochemical company affiliated to CNOOC to upgrade the seals of 150mm diameter slurry pumps used in catalytic cracking units. The client wanted the imported seals to be replaced with domestically produced alternatives, while also ensuring reliable operation of the equipment. Since this pump is a high-temperature slurry pump with a shaft diameter of 150 mm, it poses certain challenges to the reliability of the sealing mechanism. Upon receiving the task, the company’s technical department promptly assembled experienced technicians to develop a solution. Taking into account the characteristics of the equipment, thorough analysis was conducted on the sealing structure and sealing materials, and targeted improvements were made to the design parameters, details, and manufacturing precision. At the same time, analysis software was used to optimize the sealing structure and parameters, and simulated operation tests were conducted on the mechanical seal before it left the factory. The configured sealed products were delivered to the site within the time requested by the customer, where they were installed. The equipment has been in continuous operation since March 2022, with stable performance, meeting the customer’s requirements for domestic substitution.
