For the medium-side seal of the high-speed pump, after replacing it as shown in the diagram and completing the process procedures and introducing the medium, the liquid level in the white oil tank rose before the pump was started. I’d like to ask the experts how to solve this
Inspect and reinstall the seal to ensure that all components are properly installed and that the sealing surfaces are clean and undamaged; Check the installation accuracy and fit tolerances of the pump and seal ; Verify the compatibility of the sealing material with the medium, and check for deformation issues caused by excessive installation pressure. If necessary, have a professional conduct an on-site diagnosis. .
It is recommended to take a photo during the next maintenance disassembly and send it over, to check whether the contact surface between the seal shaft and the pump body is damaged. Usually, damage to the seal leads to damage to the shaft surface, resulting in surface precision that does not meet the requirements. Also, is the increase in the liquid level of the white oil tank related to the seals? For reference.
Disassemble and recheck whether the end face of the machine seal and the sealing ring are in good condition, as well as to see if any other seals were missing during reinstallation
Then it will have to be taken apart again for inspection; the focus will be on checking whether the O-ring in the inner seal shaft sleeve is damaged, or whether it is properly installed or missing Also, is there any compression amount for the mechanical seal?
Well, everything is installed according to the diagrams, and the compression amount of the mechanical seal is achieved through step-by-step compression by that small section in the middle and the impeller. When installing the impeller, a noticeable amount of compression was felt
You say that a compression amount can be clearly felt, but that’s not accurate. In case there is compression at the seal on the impeller side while there is no such compression at the seal on the gearbox side, compression will still be felt when the impeller is installed
Well, that’s what I think: as the liquid level in the sealed tank rises, there must be a leakage in the seal on the medium side.
It is clearly caused by back pressure from the seal; the seal should belong to the 53 system – how could this lead to an increase in liquid level? There is a problem with the operation. It is necessary to apply pressure inside the tank first, and then open the inlet to allow the medium to enter the pump casing.
