Dry valves are mainly used for quick connection between dip pipes and tank trucks. Our factory has encountered a situation where, after the quick-dry coupling (female connector) on the hose was connected to the connector on the tank truck (male connector), leakage would occur at the dry valve as soon as the handle was opened; the leakage stopped when the handle was closed. The cause of the leak was a problem with the lip seal at the bottom of the opening/closing plug on the female connector; the fault was resolved after replacing the lip seal. If the leakage caused by the lip seal does not stop after replacement, another possibility is that the wave spring beneath the floating valve seat is damaged or no longer functional, resulting in insufficient elasticity, or that the rectangular seal ring of the floating valve seat has failed. Addressing this issue is rather complicated; at present, we have only dealt with the leakage problems caused by the lip seal. The wave spring has broken before, and in such cases the entire quick-dry connector (female connector) had to be replaced. I hope the problems we encountered will be helpful to everyone.
The leakage may be due to a damaged lip seal or a failed wave spring under the floating valve seat. If the leakage persists after replacing the lip seal, it may be necessary to inspect and replace the rectangular seal ring of the floating valve seat, or to replace the entire fitting. .
