Must the boiler steam distribution cylinder be considered a boiler accessory? The boiler inspection authority here requires that the steam distribution cylinders in the boiler room be treated as boiler accessories; therefore, those that were previously manufactured as containers must be replaced. It is stated that accessory steam distribution cylinders are covered by the boiler supervision regulations. Is that also the requirement where you are?
How to change the name? The design for container steam cylinders is carried out by units with designated design qualifications, while the design for boiler steam cylinders is approved by provincial authorities. For container regulations, 20% X-ray inspection is generally required; for boiler steam cylinders, 100% X-ray inspection is necessary, with a pass standard of Type II
The container steam cylinders have not had any accidents for many years; now requiring their replacement seems like a waste.
As long as the design meets the specifications and the tests are successful, there is no need for replacement.
