A storage tank for a hydrogen-containing medium uses composite panels. 15CrMoR+s32168. Is hydrogen resistance treatment required at the grassroots level?
Since the base material does not come into contact with hydrogen, why is there a requirement for hydrogen resistance?
Since it is a composite board, the laminate must be suitable for the operating conditions of the medium, while only strength needs to be considered for the base layer. Austenitic stainless steel cladding has no problem with hydrogen resistance.
Hydrogen corrosion is invasive, so hydrogen corrosion still needs to be considered for the substrate.
Isn’t hydrogen corrosion taken into consideration for hydrogen-resistant treatment precisely because of hydrogen damage?
