Experts, there is an ASME vessel available; after delivery, the owner wants to weld anti-corrosion fixtures on its inner surface. Is it still necessary to obtain certification and approval from AI for this work? Can it be done directly on site? Thank you~~

This definitely needs to be retested, and the AI must have an R qualification, that is, for modification and repair!
Units with the ASME R stamp can be reworked! AI certification is required.
