I would like to ask what the difference is between container flanges and pipe flanges, and whether pipe flanges can be used in container manufacturing Thank you!
We have used them; we made a heat exchanger with a capacity of 200, and for that we used pipe flanges

Both container flanges and pipe flanges are determined using the same calculation model; there is no difference between them. The only thing is that the structural dimensions of the corresponding pipe flanges are larger. Therefore, where it is possible to use equipment flanges, we try to avoid using pipe flanges. Pipe flanges can be used in container manufacturing.
1. If it is a non-standard flange, then the issue of whether it is a pipe flange or a equipment flange does not come into play; there is only one calculation method. 2. If standard flanges are to be used, it is best to follow the standards: pipe flanges should be used for pipes, and equipment flanges should be used for equipment. 3. For certain types of hybrid structures, pipe flanges should be used for the pipes used for connection (with no other components inside the pipes); whereas for two sections of cylinder or pipe boxes, equipment flanges should be used
For cylinders made using pipes, pipe flanges can be chosen; for those made from sheet metal, equipment flanges should be used as much as possible
They should be different; some containers are designed as pressure vessels, and the pressure level plays a role in that
The only difference is that the size of the pipe flange is larger, while the structural dimensions of the equipment flange are smaller. For devices with a small diameter, steel pipes are used as the cylinder body, and pipe flanges can be used directly; however, in order to reduce the external dimensions, we generally design custom flanges for such devices.
