Help! A problem was encountered when using SW6 for calculations: when reinforcing an opening on an eccentric cone, how should the distance from the intersection of the nozzle’s centerline with the midplane of the head to the head’s axis be determined? Should it be selected as shown in my attached diagram? I’m seeking help from all the seniors.
Could the original poster post a screenshot of the dialog box related to reinforcing the openings in SW6?
I’ve not encountered the case of reinforcing openings in eccentric cones yet, but the principle remains the same: take the intersection of the opening’s centerline and the cone shell as a horizontal line; the point where this intersection meets the centerline of the inclined cone shell is the distance for which you need to calculate the reinforcement
Can SW6 be considered an opening reinforcement for an eccentric cone? I haven’t tried it, but the principle involves making holes in the equivalent cylinder at the center of the opening to provide reinforcement
I calculated it using SW6 components, and it didn’t produce the interface you depicted; I’m not sure which part you used for the calculation
