I worked in design for a year, and recently, because the factory has taken on new projects, my boss assigned me to handle quality control tasks – in other words, I’m now responsible for the quality inspection work at the factory. Quality inspection is carried out at every stage of pressure vessel manufacturing. First: Inspection of raw materials. For example, purchased steel plates, steel pipes, flanges, forgings, bolts, nuts, and welding materials need to be inspected upon arrival at the factory. Second: Inspection of some outsourced components, with common examples including end caps and composite steel plates. Third: Inspection of machined parts. Fourth: Coiling, assembly, welding. Ellipticity, perpendicularity, weld appearance, weld bead height, levelness of the flange, protrusion height of the flange, location of openings, non-destructive testing, and so on. Fifth: Withstand voltage test, leakage test. Sixth: Inspection of the overall operation of the machine and its exterior painting, etc. There is a lot of content; it cannot be listed all here.
Quality inspection, as the name implies, refers to quality checks, and these checks need to be specific to certain aspects such as materials, welding, cold working, etc

It’s the Quality Assurance Department or Inspection Department; you can be the head of it, and this role involves material inspection, physical and chemical testing, non-destructive testing, in-shop inspection, and final inspection. Many people are needed; one person cannot handle it. There are a total of 4 responsible specialists: the material specialist, the physical and chemical properties specialist, the non-destructive testing specialist, and the chief inspection specialist.
