However, with the rapid development of computers, companies of all kinds (especially large engineering firms) are making increasing use of 3D software. As far as I know, some organizations have already started using 3D software for creating drawings (such as SolidWorks). So, what kind of drawing software does your organization use? II. Calculation (analysis) software. I won’t go into details about the past; experienced engineers would do the calculations manually and then organize the results in Word documents on their own. Currently, for the design of pressure vessels, there are also many relevant software options in China; the most commonly used ones seem to be SW6, PVELETE, and ANSYS. But it seems that other CAE analysis software such as SolidWorks can also be used. What calculation (analysis) software does your organization use? III. Stress analysis design. With the trend toward larger-sized equipment, the forms of such equipment have become more diverse. Many conventional design methods can no longer meet the computational requirements; in such cases, partial stress analysis or even full stress analysis may be necessary for the design. Does your organization involve itself in partial stress analysis? Will the company conduct/participate in relevant training on an annual basis?
Drawing, HGCAD, calculating SW6
Our company specializes in biochemical design. 1. The design software used is AutoCAD, along with various 3D software applications; 2. Analysis software: SW6 ANSYS; 3. No training received
What software is used in combination with 3D?
Pressure vessel design: Drawing – PCCAD; Calculation – SW6
Pressure vessel design: Drawing – CAD + PCCAD; Calculations – SW6
Pressure vessel design: Drawing – CAD; Calculation – SW6+PV Desktop
Drawing: acad+pccad, macad+sap; Local stress analysis: solidworks+ansys; Strength calculation: national standard SW6, PV for ASME
Pressure vessel design: Drawing – interCAD+hgCAD plugin; Calculations – SW6
I. Drawing tools: AUTOCAD or CAXA Electronic Drawing Board. II. Calculation (analysis) software: SW6. III. Stress analysis design: Not involved yet.
