Does anyone know the differences between 25CrMo4 and EN10269 and EN10083.3? Same material, identical processing technique, but the mechanical property values under the two standards differ significantly. Was it making standards while drunk?
I’m not sure… but just like steel pipes with the same stainless steel grade, their performance can vary depending on the standards applied
Unfamiliar with the EU’s material standards – is the poster sure that the heat treatment conditions of the two materials are the same? Materials of the same type can exhibit different properties depending on the heat treatment they undergo; for example, bolts and nuts made from the same material may have varying strengths as a result of different heat treatment processes.
1, 2 are 25CrMo4 per EN10269； 3, 4 are 25CrMo4 per EN10083.3 ；
