What is a rotor nitrogen-filled storage and transportation box? Is it for temporary storage, or to service the compressor rotor in case there are problems? Do you need this special equipment to be taken away? What is the structure inside?
The expert’s answer to me was that it should be a nitrogen-sealed box – a sealed container in which the rotor is placed, and nitrogen is filled inside to maintain pressure and thus protect the rotor. We’ve made several of these boxes by padding the ends. Can it be fixed and locked in place? Can it be transported over long distances? It can be locked! There’s no structure; it’s just a box in which the rotor and wooden supports are placed to be held in place

The purpose of nitrogen filling is generally to prevent oxidation and corrosion; it is advisable to dry out any water inside the equipment before filling it with nitrogen. The function of the rotor nitrogen-filled storage and transportation box is to prevent corrosive materials from being damaged during transportation. Before filling it with nitrogen, a slight vacuum should be created first, after which nitrogen is introduced to achieve a certain level of partial pressure.
