When manufacturing pressure vessels, what is the use of the calculation sheets provided by the design institute? Is it possible to do without them? Do all equipment drawings require accompanying calculation sheets, or are they only necessary for pressure vessels of categories 1, 2, and 3?
For pressure vessels, things like approval applications, archiving, and construction instructions are all necessary
The construction drawings are sufficient; a calculation sheet is not required. The drawings must be stamped and signed. The design institute is responsible for the design phase, while the manufacturing plant is responsible for the production phase; each performs its own duties.
The Fixed Volume Regulation requires manufacturers to provide customers with the pressure vessel design documents supplied by the design agency. The design documents include the strength calculation sheet.
