Parallel length = Length of the straight side – L. Does the dashed line have no meaning?

With this structure, if the head is too large and difficult to machine, a rear short section (greater than 300) can be added, and then a transition section can be milled or planed on that rear short section.
Do you mean to cut off a part of the straight edge section of the end cap? ?
It can be located; it means it can be either between the solid line and the dashed line
