Shanghai Construction Engineering First Construction Group has applied for a patent for an automatic welding system for the arc-shaped roofs of large storage tanks, along with its control methods, in order to achieve adaptive, high-precision welding and intelligent control. According to information from the Intellectual Property Office, dated August 15, 2025, Shanghai Construction Engineering First Construction Group Co., Ltd. has filed a patent application titled “An Automatic Welding System for the Arc-Shaped Roofs of Large Storage Tanks and Its Control Methods”; the publication number is CN120480485A, and the application was submitted in June 2025. The patent abstract indicates that the present invention relates to an automatic welding system for the arc-shaped roofs of large storage tanks and its control method. It includes an information collection and processing module, a path planning and tracking module, a welding robot, a weld quality inspection module, and an intelligent cloud platform.
