As required by the process, two baffle walls need to be installed in the furnace of the existing horizontal cylindrical waste acid combustion furnace. The basic structure of the baffle wall is shown in the attached diagram. I think the key aspects of this baffle wall design are: 1. Structural stability. The designed temperature of the furnace chamber is 975°C. In the furnace, as well as during startup and shutdown, the stresses resulting from temperature changes are not sufficient to cause the walls to collapse ; 2. Resistant to erosion. The combustion furnace is used to burn acidic gases and waste sulfur; the flue gas contains acids, and the furnace operates under positive pressure. Therefore, the baffle walls need to have sufficient strength so as not to be significantly eroded by the hot flue gas during operation ; 3. For renovation projects, the cost should not be exorbitant. I need a reference material now that can show the structure and materials of the baffle wall. I would be grateful if experts with similar design experience could share their insights. Those who use similar things in production, please also offer some guidance. Thank you!
The corundum casting material should be fine. The question is, how should the anchoring facilities for the casting material be arranged in this case? As shown in the schematic diagram of the baffle wall above, if a semi-circular baffle wall is to be secured using anchors, very long special-shaped anchor bricks are required. I’m not sure how to consider the installation of this type of anchoring rotor
Weld it to the furnace wall with steel elements, then drill holes in the refractory bricks and connect them in series!
