I personally think installing a flame arrester is very dangerous. Safety valves are designed for emergency release, whereas, based on my personal experience, flame arrestors tend to get clogged easily due to the presence of their flame-blocking elements. If discharge occurs frequently, pressure difference elements can be added on both sides of the flame arrester to provide indication; however, safety valves do not discharge for long periods of time, and there is no flowing medium available for measurement, which is very dangerous.
