Our company’s circulating water is quite dirty, and the condensers in the workshops are severely scaled up, which prevents them from performing their heat exchange function properly. The image shows the scaling on the jacket of the vacuum pump; the situation is even worse in the heat exchanger. We tried cleaning it by soaking it in citric acid and running a circulation process for 8 hours, but the effect was not very significant. It can be washed away with a high-pressure water gun, but only the flange area can be cleaned; the interior cannot be reached.
