In accordance with Document No. 1336 issued by the Quality Supervision Bureau, a stress analysis certificate is no longer required. The design unit may conduct training and assessments for the design approval personnel and those responsible for analysis and design on its own or by entrusting third-party professional agencies, to ensure that they possess the necessary capabilities. During the evaluation, the assessment body shall conduct a closed-book examination on-site lasting no less than 3 hours (with test papers generated from a question bank) to assess the design approval officers and design analysts of the design unit’s understanding of standards and regulations as well as their professional knowledge, as well as a diagram analysis defense session of no less than 1 hour per person; in addition, it shall also evaluate the ability of the design analysts to operate design software.
