I would like to ask whether there are any design, manufacturing, and inspection standards for emergency relief manholes in China. At present, many manufacturers in China follow SY/T 0511.1-2010 Petroleum Storage Tanks – Accessories, Part 1: Breather Valves; however, upon reviewing this standard, no provisions related to emergency relief manholes can be found
How can an access hatch have the function of an emergency release device? There are quick-opening manholes.
It seems not; at any rate, I couldn’t find it. There are only the manufacturer’s standards, and generally only the operating and suction pressures can be specified. It’s not clear what exact standards are used.
