13MnNiMo5-4 is mainly used for manufacturing the drum of steam drums in power plant boilers with capacities of 100,000 to 300,000 watts and above. In the 1980s, Wugang took on a key national research project to achieve domestic production of 145mm-thick BHW35 (13MnNiMo5-4) boiler drum plates. The 13MnNiMo5-4 series of plates specifically designed for boiler drum use come in thicknesses such as 65mm, 95mm, 135mm, 145mm, etc. The chemical composition of 13MnNiMo54 steel plates shall meet the requirements in Table 1, and the control of trace elements shall be carried out in accordance with GB713-1997. Chemical composition of 13MnNiMo54 (%): CSiMnPSNiMoCrNbAlt. Analysis during melting: ≤0.15, 0.10–0.50, 1.00–1.60; ≤0.020, ≤0.004, 0.60–1.00; 0.20–0.40, 0.20–0.40, 0.005–0.020; ≥0.015. Analysis of the finished product: ≤0.17, 0.05–0.56, 0.95–1.70; ≤0.025, ≤0.005, 0.55–1.05; 0.15–0.45, 0.15–0.45, 0.005–0.025; ≥0.015.II. Supply condition for 13MnNiMo54: Normalizing at 890–950°C followed by tempering at 620–680°C. III. Allowable deviations in size, shape, and quality of 13MnNiMo54: The allowable deviations in size, shape, and quality of the steel plates shall comply with the provisions of EN10029; the thickness deviation shall meet the requirements of Grade B, while the levelness shall conform to the requirements of Grade N. IV. Mechanical properties of 13MnNiMo54: The mechanical properties of the steel plate in its delivered state (in the transverse direction) shall meet the requirements specified in Table 2. High-temperature tensile properties of steel plates in as-delivered condition: The high-temperature instantaneous tensile properties of steel plates shall meet the requirements specified in Table 3. IV. High-temperature instantaneous tensile properties of 13MnNiMo54: Steel plate thickness (mm), Test temperature (°C), Rp0.2 (MPa), Rm (MPa): >100, ≤125 – 350, ≥324, ≥510; >125, ≤145 – 350, ≥314. V. Simulated post-weld heat treatment for 13MnNiMo54: Data on the properties of steel plates subjected to simulated post-weld heat treatment for 13MnNiMo54 are provided; these properties must meet the requirements specified in Table 2. The simulated post-weld heat treatment process involves heating to 600±10°C and holding at that temperature for 7 hours, after which the temperature is reduced to 400°C at a rate of less than 100°C/hour, followed by cooling in air outside the furnace. Applications of 613mnnimo54: Thanks to the uniqueness of its applications and its advanced product technology, 13mnnimo54 is already being exported in large quantities to other regions, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. At the end of 2010, Wugang Yicheng Trading Co., Ltd. entered into a cooperation agreement with Wuyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. for the exclusive distribution of hydrogen-resistant chromium-molybdenum steel. The special steels produced in Wugang include 12MnNiVR, 14Cr1MoR(H), SA387Gr11(22)CL2, 07MnNiMoVDR, NM360(400), SA203E, etc. These steels are used for boiler and pressure vessel construction, shipbuilding and oil drilling platforms, oil and gas pipelines, applications requiring corrosion resistance, high-rise building construction, wear-resistant materials, mold manufacturing, carbon structural steel, low-alloy high-strength steel, as well as high-strength and high-toughness steels.
