Does corrosion and insulation protection fall under the management of static equipment?
Which type of pipe is that? Please advise.
Personal opinion: Corrosion prevention and insulation fall under the mechanical and electrical engineering field
It doesn’t fall under that category; it should be managed by the Engineering Department or the Infrastructure Department. It belongs to the scope of construction work
The insulation of anti-corrosion equipment is managed according to the equipment in question: the insulation of valves and pipelines falls under the category of pipe valves or belongs to the process engineering department; the insulation of tanks can be considered part of the static equipment or assigned to the process engineering department. As for the insulation of rotating equipment, such as steam turbines, it falls under the responsibility of the steam turbine maintenance team in power plants. Therefore, each case must be analyzed on its own.
