Calculation of Type B flanges

When using SW6 software to calculate flanges, if calculating them as integral flanges, should one choose Integral Flange (1) or Integral Flange (2)? If option (2) for calculation is chosen, first, the influence of the tube sections is not taken into account, and second, the welding method is also inappropriate. If calculated using an arbitrary type of flange, it becomes the same as a Type A flange, again without taking into account the effect of the tube sections.
It has taken the tube section into account by calculating based on the overall flange 2; you can check the data g0. For type B flanges as well, it is the combination of the cylinder and the fillet weld that determines the cone diameter; only the height of the weld is required, and the entire cylinder section of the type B flange does not need to be involved.
That’s right. Then, why is there a specification for the length of the barrel section in Type B flanges in the flange standards, and what are the considerations behind this?
The specification of the tube section length is based on the range of local stress decay.
