Table 2 requires that the side length of the cover plate is 160, see Figure 1. After actual modeling and setting out, it was found that the side length of the cover plate is 123.97. See Figure 2. There are two solutions now. One is to ensure that the side length of the cover plate is 160 and ensure that the angle steel and the backing plate are welded. In this way, the distance between the cover plate and the sharp corners of the angle steel cannot be guaranteed to be "15". ; The second is to ensure that the distance between the sharp corners is 15, so the side length of the cover plate changes from 160 to 123.97. Does anyone have any better ideas? If anyone has encountered similar problems before, how did they solve it? Thank you~ According to plan 1, ensure the side length of the cover, then the distance between the sharp corners is 41.67, see Figure 3
Can the angle between the cover surface and the pad surface be adjusted satisfactorily?
In addition, the function of the cover: The main thing is to prevent liquids from flowing through the support welds and causing corrosion. Why does the cover plate of JB/T4712.2 leg support need to protrude? https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1156788-1-1.html (Source: Haichuan Chemical Forum Network)

Thanks for the tip. Leave it hanging for another two days. If there is no reply, the post will be closed next Monday.
When the strength of the weld is not involved, the requirements can be lowered and the workers can do the work. :Don’t close Handshake, maybe it’s almost Chinese New Year and there will be fewer people.
The poster made a mistake. There is no size "15" in the standard.
That means the standards are wrong, this is over-positioning, and so many positionings have not been correctly unified. That definitely guarantees this, but not that. Personally, I think that if "15" is guaranteed, the size "l" cannot be guaranteed, because the included angle is certain and the positioning size is certain, so the "l" size is also certain. Since there is a deviation, it must be an error in the standard.
None of you have clearly understood the role of the size "15". This size specifies the chamfer size of the cover plate, not the distance from the sharp corner of the cover plate to the sharp corner of the angle steel. Please look at the standard regulations in the picture below. If you still can’t see clearly, you can directly look at the printed standards. Scanned ones may not be clear.
