There are equipment requirements stating that the water temperature for hydrostatic testing must not exceed 49 degrees. Why?
Where does the original poster’s rule come from? Why is it 49 degrees instead of 50? During a hydrostatic test, the water temperature never exceeds 50 degrees.
It is mainly for the safety of personnel; the temperature value is an imported concept.
There are specified technical requirements for the manufacturing and installation of the liquid separation tank at the inlet of the cyclohydrogen compressor.
If the temperature of the water used for the hydrostatic test is too high, it will cause excessive differential stress in thick-walled pressure-bearing components such as the drum during the water filling process. Excessively high water temperatures can also cause the water that leaks from minor leaks in pipes, welds, and expansions to evaporate quickly, making it difficult to detect the leaky areas in a timely manner.
The pressure testing temperature ranges from the minimum design temperature plus 17 degrees to 48 degrees.

If water below its boiling point doesn’t evaporate, can’t clothes then not dry? Get two iron plates – one at room temperature and the other heated to 50 degrees – then pour water on them. Give it a try yourself. Take a look at the one at 50 degrees – will it evaporate quickly?
