I would like to consult the following experts: When using NB/T47020 equipment flanges, how should one determine the appropriate values in the following situations? 1. If the flange is of type B and made of stainless steel, what criteria should be followed for selecting the thickness of the gasket? Can this table still be used? 2. For stainless steel equipment flanges, how can this table be utilized to quickly select or calculate the maximum operating pressure?
It’s best to recalculate this; select Type B flange in the calculation software and then run the calculation again. If it fails, change the structural dimensions
For non-standard flanges, use SW6 for calculation – it’s simpler and more convenient. If a material isn’t listed in the table, then this table cannot be used

For type B flanges made of stainless steel, the flange strength should be calculated as that of a non-standard flange.
Calculations show that a standard cannot be selected; however, the pressure grade can be determined quickly by referring to the Q245R material.
