GB150 specifies only one standard for composite plates: NB/T47002, which deals with explosion-welded composite plates for pressure vessels; it does not recommend other methods such as rolling compounding, powder metallurgy, diffusion compounding, casting compounding, or continuous casting and rolling methods, which are mentioned on the internet. What I’m asking in this post is: where it is specified that pressure vessel equipment must use explosion-welded composite plates; other methods of compounding are not allowed and cannot be used. The poster should read GB150.2, clause 4.3.1 carefully; 150 does not require the use of 47002.1 – other standards can be chosen as long as the requirements of the first three clauses of that provision are met. However, the materials of the substrate and the cladding must be listed in the material table specified in GB150. Otherwise, the corresponding provisions in TSG21 shall be followed.
The draft versions of NB/T 47002.1~4 were released in August 2017; we are looking forward to their official publication. This draft for feedback specifies that both explosion welding and rolling forming are acceptable.

What was said above is all correct; I have a suggestion for you: only one standard for composite panels is mentioned, and that’s exactly the source of such standards. 150 is the recommended standard, but once it is used, it becomes a mandatory standard – it’s not as you think. All those requirements mentioned are merely recommendations. The idea that “no other standards are recommended” is incorrect
There is nothing that is absolutely necessary. The manufacturer finds it easy to produce, the owner thinks it’s useful – just follow the design.
The revised NB/T47002 standard of May 1, 2020 includes rolled composite sheets in its scope; however, when the steel plates are thick, the cost of rolled composite sheets is not necessarily low. Actually, rolling is covered in the composite panel standard 8165.
