All welded joints must be specified (by drawing a joint diagram or indicating which standard and which version applies). For example, for Class AB welded joints, according to HG/T20583-2011, it is DU4. The weld joint between the flange and the pipe fitting shall comply with the standards for the respective flange. If the welded joint you design cannot be found in the relevant standards, then it is necessary to draw a node diagram. Alternatively, when calculating the reinforcement, if the area of the weld is increased to meet certain requirements, this must be indicated through drawings or in written notes. For ordinary equipment, it’s a bit better – there are generally standards to follow. For high-pressure or composite panels, there are few standards available, so it’s generally necessary to create the designs oneself.
