I would like to ask whether it is reasonable to use this structure for opening reinforcement calculations, where the thickness of the forged fitting is 4 mm thicker than that of the cylinder. Thank you
This structure works fine; there’s no problem with it. It’s a comprehensive reinforcement tube, so feel free to use it without hesitation.
This post was last edited by zjq1962 on 2019-8-3 at 11:03. Based on the stress attenuation at the opening, thick-walled pipes provide a better reinforcement effect than reinforcement rings. According to GB/T150.3, for the reinforcement of thick-walled nozzles, δnt/δn should be kept within the range of 0.5 to 2.0.
No problem – it’s quite common for the take over to be thicker than the barrel
It’s common for the take over to be thicker than the cylinder body; there’s no problem with that.
