I’m consulting the experts: why is the toxicity level set as it is? 1. Appendix A of TSG21-2016 refers to the HG20660-2000 standard. Now that the new standard from 2017 has been released, the level of hazard for many substances has increased, and there is also a greater variety of such substances. 2. The 2000 version relied on concentration levels, while the 2017 version uses a combination index; it seems like it would be worthwhile setting up a research institute to work on this. 3. Specifically, taking dichloromethane as an example: the 2000 version did not specify its toxicity level, but the 2017 version classifies it as highly hazardous. What should be done in this case? I’d like to know whether design institutes currently follow the regulations outlined in the 2000 version
The dichloromethane project we worked on earlier was classified as highly hazardous
It can still be carried out using the old version, but there’s no problem if higher standards are required.
