Lanshi Heavy Equipment completed the production of the reactor for China’s largest sustainable aviation fuel production facility

Recently, LANSI Heavy Equipment successfully completed the manufacturing of 5 reactors for the project aimed at producing sustainable aviation fuel from 1 million tons per year of waste oils, carried out by Henan Junheng Industrial Group Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Junheng Bio”). These reactors were delivered to the client and installed in place successfully. This project is the largest sustainable aviation fuel production facility in China. Using waste oils as raw materials, and through independently developed hydrogenation-deoxygenation plus hydrogenation modification technologies, it achieves a technological breakthrough in converting such waste oils into aviation kerosene; it is a **-level green and low-carbon demonstration project. Lanshi Heavy Equipment manufactured 5 units for the project: hydrogenation pretreatment reactors, hydrogenation refining reactors, isomerization and dewaxing reactors, supplementary refining reactors, and pretreatment reactors. These units feature thick cylinder walls, large weights, and complex structures. Among them, the pretreatment reactor has a plate-forged structure; its maximum diameter is 5.6 meters, its length is nearly 80 meters, and its weight is around 1,200 tons. The manufacturing process requires high technical standards and presents significant construction challenges, so production is carried out through a method of fabricating the components in the factory and then welding and assembling them on-site.
