I would like to ask the experts: in SW6 V4.0, for the verification of the ear seats on vertical containers, it is necessary to enter the attachment mass coefficient (based on the mass of the shell). How is this coefficient calculated? Or how to understand this coefficient?
This post was last edited by bluishice on 2019-9-26 at 13:09. It may refer to the coefficient of quality non-uniformity; see Appendix A of NB/T47065.3-2018. It could also refer to the ratio of the mass of the attachment to the mass of the cylinder.
If there are equipment flanges, then is the shell mass equal to the mass of the cylinder, the head, and the equipment flanges combined?
When calculating SW6, only the weight of the cylinder and the head is taken into account; the dimensions of other internal components represent the weight of these accessories. You can generate a calculation sheet to check it. .
That makes sense; the same thing applies to calculations for horizontal containers as well. The mass of the attachments is something that can only be identified when doing manual calculations. So, sometimes it’s still necessary to do the calculations by hand to figure things out.
Take 1.2 for the tower; this should be a relatively conservative value.
Does the weight of the equipment flanges and tube sheets count as part of the accessory weight?
Should the quality of attachments include equipment flanges and tube sheets?
If it is a support verification, then it definitely needs to be calculated; apart from the parts that are part of the cylinder or housing, all components welded to the equipment are classified as accessory weight. That’s how I understand it.
