As the title suggests, I am planning to manufacture several fiberglass storage tanks in the near future. These tanks will be used to store inorganic acids, which are loaded in batches; when the concentration varies significantly, mixing is necessary. Due to space constraints, there is no place to install a circulation pump, so I am considering installing a side-mounted mixer on the tank wall. I have consulted several manufacturers of fiberglass equipment, but the information I received varied greatly – some said it’s possible to install such a mixer on the tank wall with no problems, while others said it could cause cracks and advised against it; still others outright refused to provide any information and stated that such installation is strictly prohibited.
