Valve products are identified and painted according to the material of their valve bodies, with colors as follows: Valve body materials – gray cast iron, malleable cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel, acid-resistant steel, stainless steel, copper alloy steel. Identify paint colors: black, silver, medium gray, sky blue, medium blue. Note: Acid-resistant steel and stainless steel may be left unpainted; copper alloys should not be painted. 2. To indicate the material of the sealing surface of the valve product, identification painting shall be applied to the drive handwheel, handle, and knob, with colors specified in the table below. Sealing surface materials: copper alloy, babbitt alloy, acid-resistant steel, stainless steel, nitrided steel, boronized steel, cemented carbide, Monel alloy, plastic-rubber cast iron. Identify paint colors: bright red, light yellow, sky blue, sky blue, sky blue, dark yellow, purplish red, medium green, black. Note: (1) When the materials of the valve seat and the sealing surface of the operating element are different, color it according to the lower-hardness material. (2) Check valves are installed on the top of the valve cover; safety valves, pressure relief valves, and steam traps are installed on the valve housing or valve cap. 3. The painting color of the transmission mechanism shall be as follows: (1) For electric units: the standard type is painted medium gray, while the three-in-one type (for outdoor use, explosion-proof, and corrosion-resistant) is painted dark blue. (2) Other transmission mechanisms such as pneumatic, hydraulic, and gear drives shall be painted in the same color as the product. These are the requirements for painting during manufacturing.
