After the water testing was completed, 10 pieces in the southwestern part of the large floating tank’s seal were flipped over; the pipe walls featured lap welds, and some of the seals were not properly seated in their grooves. Could you please analyze what the reason is? Urgent!
What form does the floating roof take? What type of seal is used for the floating roof seal? The photo seems to show a large stainless steel compensating elastic seal. It’s possible that the gap between your floating roof and the tank wall is a bit too small; the standard range is 180–220 mm, or perhaps the storage tank has significant elliptical deformation. There was a chucking phenomenon; the floating top wasn’t secured, which caused the seal to get stuck, and in the end the seal was damaged.
