Dear experts: Under what circumstances can multiple devices share a single safety valve in their gas pipelines for pressure relief? Based on which standard? What can be done by doing this?
There are no valves on the gas pipeline, so blockages are not possible from a process perspective. The process calculations show that the diameter of the gas pipeline is sufficient to allow pressure relief for the maximum gas flow rate. For standards, refer to HG20579.2
Following the original question, I would like to ask: For spherical tanks, since there is no separate valve port installed on the tank body, is it feasible to install the safety valve on the system pipeline at the gas phase outlet at the top of the tank? Is there a precedent?
