The test pressure does not take into account temperature coefficient corrections. Should this test pressure be specified in the design, or should it be determined by the manufacturing unit according to the standards? ?
Generally, it is the design institute that specifies the test pressure; this is only set for the purpose of creating test questions.
Answer: The equipment supervisor does not approve this hydraulic test for the equipment. The reason is that the pressure used in the hydraulic test is lower than the pressure required by the standards; moreover, the test pressure does not take into account the ratio of the allowable stress at the material’s design temperature to that at the test temperature. The range of the pressure gauge exceeds the limit of 1.5 to 3 times the standard required test pressure.
