No, it’s not possible. Even if it doesn’t belong to the main body, since that component is connected to your equipment and bears stress in the same way as a weld, it must be inspected in accordance with the standards for pressure pipelines. For pressure pipelines, RT or UT or other testing methods are also required for circumferential welds; personally, I recommend conducting inspections in accordance with the requirements for Class B welds of the equipment itself.
Many of the manholes at the top of reactors or the cold hydrogen inlets have this structure; those manufactured by your company are part of the equipment itself, and they must comply with the requirements for non-destructive testing of equipment.
Follow the requirements for Class B welds on the fittings of the equipment – cost is not a concern!
