An activated carbon filter removes oil contaminants by taking advantage of the strong adsorption properties of activated carbon. Oils in compressed air (organic compounds with C6+ structure) have weak polarity, and activated carbon possesses a strong adsorption capacity to remove them. It can not only remove liquid oil and suspended oil from compressed air, but also effectively adsorb and remove oil vapors; as a result, the oil content in the treated compressed air can be ensured to reach level 0. It can also be used to remove odors from gases.
