1) Square or rectangular containers are welded from flat plates; they are simple to manufacture but have poor pressure resistance, and can only be used as small storage tanks at atmospheric pressure. 2) Spherical containers are formed by welding together several spherical shell plates; they have good pressure resistance, but it is difficult to install internal components in them and their manufacturing is somewhat complex, which is why they are generally used as storage tanks. 3) Cylindrical vessels: These are composed of a cylindrical shell along with various types of end caps, such as hemispherical, elliptical, disc-shaped, conical, etc. The cylindrical shell, which serves as the main body of the vessel, is easy to manufacture, facilitates the installation of internal components, and has good pressure resistance; therefore, this type of vessel is the most widely used.
