This manual not only includes the on-site requirements and the sources of the standards and specifications related to those requirements, but also presents typical hidden dangers commonly found on site; it is quite comprehensive, which is why it is recommended to everyone. The main contents include: 1. A clean and orderly environment: The manual emphasizes that production and office areas, as well as related facilities, should be kept clean, with items arranged neatly, and the floors free of water, dust, and oil buildup. The roads and passages within the enterprise must be level, clean, and unobstructed; it is strictly prohibited to stack goods or miscellaneous items in these passages and safety exits. Relevant regulations, such as Article 39 of the Work Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China, clearly stipulate that the exits in production and business premises as well as employee dormitories must meet emergency evacuation requirements and remain unobstructed. II. Clear signs and markings: Markings in areas such as public passageways, workshops, and warehouses should be clear and standardized; safety warning signs should be installed in places and on equipment where there are significant hazards. The \"Safety Signs and Guidelines for Their Use\" (GB 2894-2008) require that safety signs be easily visible and have sufficient contrast with their surroundings. III. Electrical wiring meets requirements: The electrical wiring should be firmly connected, protected by conduits, and free from any damage. Electrical equipment must be provided with measures such as grounding and leakage protection as required. Common problems include aging of wire insulation, improper wiring, and lack of protective sleeves. The power distribution room must be protected from rain and small animals, equipped with insulating tools, and the floor where the power distribution cabinets are operated should be covered with insulating mats. IV. Equipment and facilities in good condition: Equipment, facilities, and their accessories should be regularly inspected and maintained to ensure there is no damage or rust, and to prevent any leaks. Proper use of hazardous chemicals: Locations where hazardous chemicals are stored and used should be equipped with ventilation systems, leak prevention measures, gas detection devices, anti-static facilities, explosion protection measures, as well as fire extinguishing equipment. Hazardous chemicals should be stored in dedicated warehouses or storage cabinets; safety labels must be attached to the packaging, and a safety data sheet must be provided. Common problems include power distribution boxes being located inside hazardous chemical warehouses, electrical equipment that does not meet explosion-proof requirements, and hazardous chemicals being stored in a disordered manner. VIII. Rapid and efficient emergency response: On-duty personnel must be present and fully familiar with the procedures for dealing with emergencies, as well as with the monitoring and alarm systems. Emergency facilities, equipment, and supplies should be regularly inspected, maintained, and serviced to ensure their proper operation. Common issues include the lack of emergency equipment in confined space work sites and insufficient pressure in air respirator cylinders. IX. Employees must be aware of risks: Employees should be familiar with the hazard factors in the workplace and at their job positions, as well as the preventive measures and emergency response procedures in case of accidents. Personnel engaged in special operations must work with valid certificates, while the main responsible persons and safety management personnel of enterprises must pass relevant assessments.
