The Fixed Capacity Regulations stipulate that pressure vessel components made of foreign materials must meet the following requirements. ① Materials of foreign grades shall be those that are permitted for use according to the current standards and regulations for pressure vessels in those countries, and for which there are existing instances of use abroad. Their scope of application shall comply with the provisions of the corresponding product standards in those countries; if the standards cited in these regulations list grades with similar chemical compositions and mechanical properties, then their scope of application shall also comply with the provisions of those cited standards. ② The technical requirements for materials of foreign grades shall not be lower than those of similar domestic grades (such as phosphorus and sulfur content, the sampling location and direction for impact specimens as well as the impact energy criteria, elongation after fracture, etc.).
