Problems with the sliding and fixed ends of the drum saddle

After tightening the first nut near the bottom plate of the sliding support, loosen it by one turn, then tighten the second nut so that it is tightened together with the first nut; this ensures there is a certain distance between the first nut and the base plate of the saddle. Only in this way can the sliding support move as the equipment heats up and expands. If all the nuts are tightened as in a fixed end, fixing the saddle tightly to the foundation, then the sliding support would be pointless.
So there are two nuts on each bolt, right?
Well, normally it comes with two nuts.
